No sexual conversation or behavior will be tolerated at any time. Any inappropriate words, jokes, or suggestions will result in the immediate termination of the massage session. Clients that have sessions terminated due to inappropriate behavior, will be charged the full session fee. Subsequent treatments at Sacred Space Massage & Bodywork will be denied and a police report for sexual harassment will be filed.

Massage therapy is non-invasive and relaxing and is usually considered safe for most people.

Contraindications are certain conditions that a person may have that could be aggravated by the application of massage therapy. In these cases, the type of massage may need to be adjusted, certain parts may need to be avoided or massage therapy should be avoided all together.

Here are some examples:

Total Contraindications – Massage should be avoided all together and appointment should be rescheduled.

Fever
Contagious disease (e.g. Cold/flu even if symptoms are mild)
Under the influence of alcohol or drugs, including prescription pain medication
Recent operation or acute injuries
Neuritis
Infectious skin diseases
Severe Hemophila

Local Contraindications – Massage should be avoided over any affected areas.

Undiagnosed lumps/bumps
Bruising/Abrasions
Cuts/Open Wounds

Medical Contraindications - Massage can be very therapeutic for many medical conditions. However, with some medical conditions it is best to have advice from your physician. Massage therapists are not medical practitioners and it is illegal and unethical for a massage therapist to attempt to diagnose any condition. If you are unsure if you suffer from a medical condition that indicates that massage should be avoided, please contact your physician prior to scheduling an appointment. Massage can only take place once it has been approved before your session in writing by your Physician.

What is Sanctuary?

Sanctuary is a comprehensive self-care experience that combines Reserved Monthly Care with practical support between appointments, including weekly guided self-care, a monthly live Gathering, private community and a growing library of self-care resources.

Sanctuary is designed to help you make room for your care consistently—not just when you’re already running on empty.

How much is Sanctuary?

Founding Sanctuary is $197 per month with an initial three-month commitment.

Your first $197 payment is made when you enroll and covers your first Sanctuary month beginning October 10. Your next payment will be November 10, with monthly billing continuing on the 10th thereafter.

What happens after the initial three months?

After your initial three-month commitment, Sanctuary continues month-to-month.

You may continue for as long as Sanctuary supports you, pause your participation when eligible, or cancel with 30 days’ notice.

What is a Reserved Session?

Your monthly Reserved Session is approximately 100 minutes of care designed around what your body needs that day.

We begin with a brief somatic check-in, followed by approximately 90 minutes of integrated massage, CranioSacral Therapy and supportive enhancements.

Afterward, you’ll have the option for additional independent Integration Rest in our zero-gravity chair.

Do I choose my massage enhancements?

You don’t need to decide ahead of time.

Supportive enhancements are thoughtfully incorporated based on what your body needs that day and the intention we establish together at the beginning of your Reserved Session.

How are my Reserved Sessions scheduled?

Sanctuary is designed around consistent, protected care. We’ll generally keep your next two Reserved Sessions on the calendar so your care already has a place before the schedule fills.

Appointment availability varies, and scheduling remains subject to Sacred Space availability.

What if I need to reschedule my Reserved Session?

With adequate notice, your Reserved Session can be rescheduled according to Sacred Space’s regular scheduling policies.

For cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, you’ll have 30 days to reschedule that appointment before it is forfeited.

Do unused Reserved Sessions roll over?

Reserved Monthly Care is designed to support consistent care rather than accumulate unused sessions, so Reserved Sessions do not automatically roll over.

Life does happen. If unexpected circumstances interfere with your scheduled care, please reach out so we can determine the best option.

What happens if Sacred Space needs to cancel my Reserved Session?

If Sacred Space needs to cancel and we’re unable to accommodate your Reserved Session within its normal timeframe, you will not lose your session.

Do I have to participate every week?

No.

Weekly Sanctuary guidance is an invitation, not homework.

There are no streaks to maintain and no expectation that you complete every practice or participate in every conversation.

You don’t have to keep up. You can come back.

What is the Monthly Sanctuary Gathering?

The Sanctuary Gathering is a live, online 60-minute experience offered once each month.

We’ll explore one practical aspect of the month’s self-care theme through teaching, reflection and an experiential practice when appropriate.

Participation and sharing are always optional.

What if I can’t attend the Gathering live?

The teaching portion of the Gathering will be recorded and shared afterward for a limited time.

Personal check-ins, discussions and community sharing are not recorded.

Select teachings that remain useful beyond the month may eventually be added to the Sanctuary Library.

What is the Sanctuary Community?

The private Sanctuary Community is a place for connection, encouragement, reflection and gentle accountability with others who are also practicing making room for their care.

It is not an urgent-support or private-coaching space, and Ann may not personally respond to every post or conversation.

Can I book additional bodywork while I’m in Sanctuary?

Yes.

Additional Sanctuary-style sessions are available to active Sanctuary clients at Sanctuary Pricing of $145 per session.

Sanctuary Pricing cannot be combined with other promotions or offers.

Can I pause Sanctuary?

After completing your initial three-month commitment, you may pause Sanctuary for one to three consecutive months.

During your pause, billing and all Sanctuary services, community access, Library access and privileges are paused as well.

Your place and protected Sanctuary rate will be held for up to three months.

A pause extending beyond three months will be considered a cancellation.

How do I cancel Sanctuary?

After your initial three-month commitment, you may cancel with 30 days’ notice.

Any Reserved Sessions scheduled beyond your final paid Sanctuary period will be released.

If you decide to return later, re-enrollment will depend on availability and the current Sanctuary rate.

What happens if my monthly payment doesn’t go through?

There is a seven-day grace period for unsuccessful payments, with no late fee.

If payment has not been resolved after seven days, Sanctuary access will be paused and upcoming Reserved Sessions may be released until your account is brought current.

Will my Founding Sanctuary rate ever increase?

Your $197 Founding Sanctuary rate remains yours for as long as you maintain your place in Sanctuary.

An approved pause of up to three months will not affect your protected rate.

If you cancel or remain paused beyond three months and later choose to return, enrollment will be subject to availability and the Sanctuary rate offered at that time.

Is Sanctuary a massage membership?

No. Sanctuary is a more comprehensive form of self-care support.

If your primary goal is simply to keep regular massage on your calendar, one of Sacred Space’s massage memberships may be a better fit.

Sanctuary is designed for those who want their monthly bodywork supported by practical self-care guidance, community, reflection and continued practice between appointments.

Do I need to follow the moon, understand chakras or practice any particular spiritual tradition?

Not at all.

Sanctuary is grounded in practical, embodied self-care and is open to you regardless of your personal beliefs or practices.

How many people can join Sanctuary?

Founding Sanctuary will begin with only 4–6 clients.

Sanctuary is intentionally kept small because each participant receives protected hands-on care within Sacred Space’s appointment schedule.

Future enrollment opportunities will depend on available capacity.
